چکیده

Abstract Background Although pelvic incidence (PI) is a key morphologic parameter in assessing spinopelvic sagittal alignment, accurate measurements of PI become difficult patients with severe hip dislocation or femoral head deformities. This study aimed to investigate the reliability our novel parameters and correlations established parameters. Methods One hundred healthy volunteers (25 male 75 female), an average age 38.9 years, were analysed. Whole-body alignment standing position was measured using slot-scanning X-ray imager. We parameter: sacral pubis (SIP). The correlation coefficient each parameter, regression equation SIP, lumbar lordosis (LL) SIP obtained. intraclass (ICC) calculated as evaluation measurement reliability. Results Reliability analysis showed high intra- inter-rater agreements all parameters, ICCs > 0.9. inclination angle (PIA) demonstrated strong ( R = 0.96) tilt (PT) 0.92). could be predicted according equation: ? 9.92 + 0.905 * 0.9596, p < 0.0001). ideal LL following age: 32.33 0.623 – 0.280 0.6033, 0.001) 24.29 0.609 0.309 0.6177, 0.001). Conclusions Both PIA reliable for determining morphology orientation pelvis, respectively. Ideal accurately equal accuracy PI. Our findings will assist clinicians assessment alignment. Radiological analysis for thoracolumbar disc herniation in spinopelvic sagittal alignment

A retrospective study aims to explore differences in spinopelvic sagittal alignment between thoracolumbar disc herniation (TLD) and lower lumbar disc herniation (LLD).A total of 185 patients included 26 with TLD and 129 with LLD and 30 asymptomatic volunteers in normal group (NG). Each individual took full spine X-ray to evaluate pelvic incidence (PI), pelvic tilt (PT), sacral slope (SS), lumba...

The Sagittal Pelvic Thickness: A Determining Parameter for the Regulation of the Sagittal Spinopelvic Balance

Objective. To propose and validate a dimensional parameter, the sagittal pelvic thickness (SPT) (distance between the middle point of the upper sacral plate and the femoral heads axis, expressed as a ratio with the length of the upper plate of S1: (SPT/S1) for the analysis of the sagittal balance of the pelvispinal unit. Methods. The parameters were analysed on standing radiographic imaging and...

Beyond Pelvic Incidence–Lumbar Lordosis Mismatch: The Importance of Assessing the Entire Spine to Achieve Global Sagittal Alignment

STUDY DESIGN Retrospective case series. OBJECTIVE To investigate which sagittal parameters contribute to a normal sagittal vertical axis (SVA) when there is a pelvic incidence-lumbar lordosis (PI-LL) mismatch >10° following adult spinal deformity (ASD) correction. METHODS We performed a retrospective review of ASD patients with >5 levels fused. Sagittal measurements between cohorts of posto...

Sagittal spinal pelvic alignment.

The goal of any ambulatory patient is to maintain a horizontal gaze with the least amount of energy expenditure. With progressive deformity, and in particular sagittal malalignment, significant compensatory mechanisms must be used to achieve this goal. Each pelvis dictates the amount of lumbar lordosis required through its morphometric parameter pelvic incidence. The pelvis may compensate for d...
